Vimmerby

Most people know of Vimmerby because of Astrid Lindgren, since this is where she was born and grew up. She has put her mark on the whole area, and today Vimmerby is the place where families find adventures and the very best experiences. The award-winning Astrid Lindgren's World, Virum Moose Park and Nils Holgersson's World are examples of the sort of outings that provide every opportunity for a fun-filled holiday. Astrid Lindgren Näs

Astrid Lindgren's childhood home is the farm in Näs. The old vicarage now houses a Knowledge Centre and a museum. In the extensive exhibition, "The Whole World's Astrid Lindgren", you can follow the story about Astrid Lindgren from her childhood at Näs to becoming a world renowned author.

Bullerbyn

The three small farms in Sevedstorp were the inspiration for Astrid's books about Bullerby. In the summertime the village comes to life, with different animals, you can jump in the hay and in one of the barns you'll find Café Sörgården where waffes, Swedish cheescake and goodies are available.

Katthult

Here you can walk amongst the buildings reliving the atmosphere of the Emil movies. You can look inside the wood shed, meet the farm animals and visit Katthultsboden, the little shop where souvenirs, ice cream and drinks are sold.

Nils Holgersson World

A miniature Sweden and an adventure park. Here you'll find excitement for all ages, a high wire trail, Sweden's largest pedal car track, a climbing net, miniature golf, a hunting simulator etc. Wander through a miniature Sweden and follow the route Nils Holgersson took, where you will learn more about Sweden.

Forest Experiences

An extraordinary forest experience. Guided-horse -and-cart-rides for the whole family in Småland's idyllic natural surroundings. In the winter, providing there's snow, we organise sled-rides.
