Terms and conditions Spilhammars Camping

 1) Entering into an agreement

  • The following terms and conditions apply to all guests of Spilhammars Camping, hereinafter referred to as ‘the guest’ and/or ‘fellow guests’;
  • After booking a camping spot, log cabin and/or holiday home, the guest receives a booking confirmation, hereinafter referred to as ‘the agreement’;
  • The agreement is sent by email or post and is binding;
  • The agreement is strictly personal and non-transferable;
  • The guest is responsible for the accuracy of information stated in the agreement;
  • In the event of any inaccuracies, Spilhammars Camping must be informed within 7 days of sending the agreement.

 2) Booking

2.1 Booking a camping pitch

  • To enter into an agreement with Spilhammars Camping regarding a camping pitch, a guest must be at least 18 years old, unless otherwise agreed in writing with Spilhammars Camping;
  • If the guest cannot meet this age limit upon arrival at the campsite, Spilhammars Camping will terminate the agreement and the cancellation rules apply (see 4.2);
  • Being able to show proof of identity upon arrival at the campsite is mandatory;
  • Due to the risk of fire, charging large electric batteries (such as car batteries) is not permitted at Spilhammars Camping;
  • The occupancy of the camping pitch is strictly limited to the number of persons stated in the reservation. Overcrowding of the pitch is not permitted without payment of the associated costs and considering the capacity of the pitch, unless otherwise agreed in writing with Spilhammars Camping;
  • Smoking (including the use of electronic cigarettes and vapes) is only permitted in marked areas. Failure to observe this rule may result in financial consequences;
  • It is not permitted for the guest and/or fellow guests to use the camping space for any purpose other than camping, unless otherwise agreed in writing with Spilhammars Camping;
  • Spilhammars Camping will not allocate a camping space until arrival at the camping site.

2.2 Booking a log cabin/holiday home

  • To enter into an agreement with Spilhammars Camping regarding a cabin/holiday home, a guest must be 21 years old, unless otherwise agreed in writing with Spilhammars Camping;
  • If the guest cannot meet this age limit upon arrival at the campsite, Spilhammars Camping will terminate the agreement and the rules for cancellation apply (see 4.2);
  • Being able to show proof of identity upon arrival at the campsite is mandatory;
  • The use of bed linen is mandatory, the guest can bring this themselves or rent it from Spilhammars Camping (see price list);
  • Booking final cleaning is mandatory if the guest brings a pet;
  • Variation in furnishings and layout may differ per cabin/holiday home;
  • The guest and/or fellow guests are not permitted to use the cabin/holiday home for any purpose other than temporary holiday accommodation, unless otherwise agreed in writing with Spilhammars Camping;
  • The occupancy of the cabin/holiday home is strictly limited to the number of persons stated in the reservation. Overcrowding of the accommodation is not permitted without payment of the associated costs and considering the capacity of the accommodation, unless otherwise agreed in writing with Spilhammars Camping;
  • Special requests regarding pets, cot/high chair, must be stated in the booking request;
  • Smoking (including the use of electronic cigarettes and vapes) in a cabin/holiday home is prohibited. Ignoring this rule may have financial consequences;
  • Due to the risk of fire, charging large electric batteries (such as car batteries) is not permitted in a cabin/holiday home.

2.3 Booking additional products

  • After entering into the agreement, it is possible to book additional bed linen/towel sets/high chairs up until the day of arrival;
  • Final cleaning can be booked until 10:00 on the day of departure.

2.4 Costs for not cleaning a cabin/holiday home

  • The final cleaning of a cabin/holiday home must be carried out by the guest in accordance with the applicable rules, which can be found in the cabin/holiday home;
  • If the final cleaning is not carried out correctly by the guest, it will be carried out by the staff of Spilhammars Camping and 1400 kronor for a cabin or 2500 kronor for a holiday home will be charged to the guest via an invoice.

 

3) Payment

3.1 Payment of camping spot/log cabin/holiday home:

  • The guest is responsible for the correctness of the payment details and for the payment of the amount as specified in the agreement, hereinafter referred to as 'the rental amount';
  • When paying by bank transfer, the reservation number, payment reference, full name and arrival date must be stated;
  • The full rental amount is divided into a deposit and final payment;
  • The deposit consists of 40% of the total rental amount and must be received by Spilhammars Camping within 7 days after confirmation of the booking;
  • The final payment must be paid at least 40 days before the agreed arrival date, unless otherwise agreed in writing with Spilhammars Camping;
  • When booking within 40 days of the agreed arrival date of the stay, the entire rental amount must be paid at once;
  • In the event of late or incomplete payment of the rental amount, the guest is at fault and Spilhammars Camping is entitled to unilaterally terminate the agreement by means of a letter;
  • To obtain access to a camping spot/log cabin/holiday home, the entire rental amount must be paid, unless otherwise agreed in writing with Spilhammars Camping;
  • Invoices relating to damage must be paid within 7 days, unless otherwise agreed in writing with Spilhammars Camping (see also 5.1).

 

4) Cancellation

4.1 Cancellation of the agreement:

In case of cancellation, the following conditions apply:

  • A cancellation is valid when it has been approved in writing by Spilhammars Camping;
  • When cancelling, the reservation number, payment reference, full name and arrival date must be stated;
  • In case of cancellation more than 40 days before the start of the stay, 40% of the rental amount is due;
  • In case of cancellation within 40 days before the start of the stay, the full rental amount is due;
  • If the guest can provide a valid doctor's certificate, Spilhammars Camping will refund 40% of the rental amount;
  • In case of sudden calamities (war, epidemics, natural disasters) for which Spilhammars Camping is not responsible, Spilhammars Camping will not refund the rental amount.

4.2 Early departure

  • In case of early termination of the stay, the guest will be charged the full rental amount, unless otherwise agreed in writing with Spilhammars Camping.

4.3 Immediate termination of the agreement

Spilhammars Camping has the right to terminate the rental agreement with immediate effect. The agreement will be terminated if:

  • The guest and/or fellow guests violate the house rules;
  • The guest and/or fellow guests damage the campsite/cabins/holiday homes;
  • The guest and/or fellow guests damage nature;
  • The guest and/or fellow guests do not comply with the booking conditions;
  • The camping spot is used for purposes for which it is not intended;
  • A cabin/holiday home is sublet;
  • The conditions for reimbursement do not apply in the event of immediate termination of the agreement and the invoice for the damage caused must be paid within 7 days.

 

5) Damage/responsibility for property

5.1 Damage and responsibility for property

  • Spilhammars Camping is not responsible for objects left behind;
  • Damage caused by the guest and/or fellow guests will be charged to the guest by Spilhammars Camping by means of an invoice (see 3.1);
  • The guest is responsible for damage caused by negligence of the guest and/or fellow guests;
  • The guest is responsible for the assigned log cabin/reserved holiday home during the stay and must treat the cabin/holiday home with care in accordance with the house rules (see 6.1);
  • The guest is responsible for the assigned camping spot during the stay and must treat the camping spot with care in accordance with the house rules (see 6.1);
  • The guest is responsible for damage caused by his/her actions to the service building and/or the inventory of Spilhammars Camping during the stay;
  • Any damage/inaccuracies upon arrival that were not caused by the guest must be reported to Spilhammars Camping in writing immediately upon arrival.

5.2 Deposit

  • A deposit of 1000 kronor applies to the house Åsjön, Blåbär and Björnbär, which must be paid upon arrival at the campsite;
  • The deposit will be refunded if no defects are found upon departure. 

5.3 Loan of shower cards/keys

  • The guest has two shower cards on loan during the stay, which must be returned to the reception upon departure;
  • For shower cards that are not returned or in the event of loss of shower cards, Spilhammars Camping will charge 50 kronor per card together with the amount that was on the card;
  • In the event of loss or non-return of the key to the log cabin/holiday home, Spilhammars Camping will charge the guest 700 kronor.

 

6) House rules

  • Guests must ensure that the camping site is quiet and peaceful between 23:00 and 07:00;
  • The picnic tables spread across the camping site are for general use. Please leave them there so that everyone can use them;
  • Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times on the camping site;
  • We expect everyone to leave the service building tidy after usage;
  • Flammable waste can only be disposed of in the large blue container behind reception;
  • Guests must take care of nature on and around the camping site and the holiday homes;
  • Making open fires on the camping site is prohibited, this includes the barbecue areas;
  • Disturbing the general peace with music and/or other installations on the camping site is prohibited;
  • Digging holes and ditches on the camping site is not permitted and falls under damage (see 5.1);
  • Smoking is only permitted in the designated areas;
  • The use of the canoes/rowing boats is at your own risk;
  • The use of the playground equipment is at your own risk.
