Vimmerby

Vimmerby

The magic of Astrids stories

East of the campsite lies Vimmerby. In the summer this place is a hotspot for all Astrid Lindgren fans, because this is where she was born over a century ago. Take a picture with her statue on the central square or visit the farm where she grew up in the 1910s. The city center has nice terraces surrounded by shops of local entrepreneurs. The perfect place for a fika!

Västervik

Västervik

Discover the Baltic Sea

The coastal town of Västervik is located an hour east of the campsite. The city has a beautiful old town center with several historical buildings. In the streets you will not only find cafés and restaurants, but also a number of second-hand shops. These typical Swedish loppis are a journey back in time and you might buy a typical Swedish souvenir here. The museum of Västervik is definitely worth a visit and tells the story of the Vasa kings and their influence on the surrounding area.
