The terrain: nature and unlimited adventure
The gravel roads in Småland are unique. They meander through a quickly changing landscape and are characterized by a mix of relatively flat sections alternating with very steep climbs. The paths are often remote, so you can enjoy nature and serene tranquillity. You for sure do not have to worrying about traffic. A word of warning: we cannot guarantee that no curious deer, moose or squirrels will come and have a peek.
The routes: a well-kept secret
At our reception you will find everything you need to know about cycling in the area around the campsite. There are routes available for everyone, so that both the most experienced and the novice cyclist can enjoy themselves along the way. The routes are available digitally as a GPX file for your phone, but taking a paper map with you is no problem either.
The equipment: the gravel bike
Although cycling on a racing bike is perfectly possible in the Swedish highlands, the gravel bike or mountain bike is the better equipment. It is important to use equipment that can handle both steep and flat sections, as they can rapidly follow each other.
