For the ones who love the water

Swimming

For water-lovers

Real aquaphiles have come to the right spot at Spilhammars Camping. Only two hundred meters from the campsite, on the edge of the Åsjön lake, you will find Spilhammarbadet.

Fun for everyone

Dip your toes in the water at the beach or enjoy the summer sun while lying on the grass. Even the smallest kids can enjoy the water, as there is a pontoon in the lake. This provides easy access for swimming and building sandcastles. Feeling more adventures? No problem, as there is a three-levelled diving board.

For loyal furry friends

Dogs are not allowed at Spilhammarbadet, but the campsite has a great alternative. At the back of the camping is a second swim spot, a picture-perfect place to dive into the water with your furry friend.

FAQ

Swimming, how nice! How far do I have to walk from the campsite?

Spilhammars Camping is located right at the waterfront. It is only a two-minute walk to the beach, where you can dive straight into the water from the pontoon. Who wouldn't want that?

My child can't swim very well yet, is there a shallow part as well?

Yes, of course! At the waterline there is a shallow 'paddling pool' surrounded by the pontoon. Even the smallest ones can enjoy the water here. The beach is also perfect for building sandcastles.

How high are the diving boards and how do I get there?

From the pontoon you can see the diving boards and it is only short swim. The diving boards are 1 meter, 2.5 meters and 4 meters high.

How deep is the lake?

Around the pontoon the lake is approximately 1.55 m deep. When you jump off the diving board, you will have a hard time reaching the bottom as it is already 6 meters deep there. The deepest point of the lake is 13 meters deep.

Can my dog swim with me at the beach?

No, dogs are not allowed to swim at Spilhammarbadet. Luckily, the campsite offers a nice alternative. At the other side of the camping you will find access to the water as well. This place is quieter and therefore perfect for dogs to splash around.

Is the lake suitable for my sup board?

Åsjön is a beautiful lake so we for sure recommend that you take your sup board. In around 20 minutes you can sup all the way to the other side of the lake. Please note! We do not rent out sup boards at the kiosk. Don't have your own sup board, but still want to explore the water? Take a look at this page.
