Gorgeous walking routes
Walking in the area
Norra Kvill
Norra Kvill is one of the thirty national parks of Sweden and only fifteen minutes away from the campsite. In this primal forest you choose between two walks that can also be combined with each other. The short route of 3.5 km leads past a viewpoint and contains a steep descent. The 5.2 km route passes these points, as well as making a detour around a nearby lake.
The national park displays how nature can change during the seasons. During the spring and summer, you hear birds and insects while you walk past blooming trees and bushes. You can even collect blueberries while walking! During fall you can enjoy the most insane colour combinations when the trees lose their leaves. During the wintertime the landscape will turn white and you will be able to trace some tracks that wild animals left behind.
Skuragata
When you drive road no. 40 towards Eksjö you will come across the exit toward Skuragata. This nature reserve offers a nice day out for the whole family. During your walk, you will have to climb over fallen trees and big rocks. These will provide you with a nice challenge!
Skuragata is a gorge that is probably created by melting ice. Large boulders lay on the paths and you will have to climb and scramble while walking through it. The route starts at the bottom of the gorge and will take you all the way up to a beautiful viewpoint at the top of the hill.
Skrôle Hie
The Skrôle Hie nature reserve lays close to a little village called Bruzaholm. Here a 5 km long path wanders through a narrow pass that has been formed between two rock formations. Due to the high humidity in the gorge, you will find all sorts of special flora and fauna. During your walk you will have a chance to admire several kinds of mushroom and moss that have nestled in fallen trees.
